place for me to ramble on about stuff i've watched, and other things along side that.

DOAU

death of a unicorn

this was.....ok

when i first watched the trailer i was so hype foir this, but this movie was kind of boring.... the first 45 mins are so solid and then it never progresses, it feels so stagnat and we learn almost no new information about the creatures or the characters.

and then came WILL POULTER lol he was the mnovie for me along with Jenna Ortega but the plot lost me.

I loved this! It was so cheesy and corny and I LOVE that with horror movies. Anything campy is gonna be a hit in my book. This movie knows exactly what it’s doing and doesn’t shy away from being absolutely goofy in dialogue. It has a scream vibe but totally better because it embraces all the dumb parts of a classic thrasher.

eddington

I love Ari Aster so much as a director but what the hell was this? It probably doesn’t help that I was mostly super eager based on the cast. Bc hello pedro pascal…. and joaquin phoenix….. and austin butler (blushes profusely LOL) the first half of this movie is good, the pacing is perfect, and the plot is clear but then??? Then it becomes a totally different movie! Like literally out of nowhere the pacing changes tenfold. My partner really liked this movie through and through but I became so bored with the second half.

together

I LOVVEEEED this! I love body horror movies, the gore isn’t crazy or out there but this was perfect for me. I loved that the dialogue was cringy and real. The plot is strong and the pacing doesn’t falter. Watching two characters who are obviously so wrong for each other and both envy the other, one envying the other for refusing to grow up and the other upset that the relationship is becoming too serious

this show was such an emotional ride :')

despite the show being mostly like a comedy of the lives of these people, i really do like some of the theme this show tackles and how it explores them. i was often feeling really heavy for these characters, specially orel. i grew up in a Very christian enviroment so some of the things discussed in this really got to me in a way. i get it.

which was the reason why my heart was so heavy when i finished watching it. orel i love you so much.

need to watch the special that released a few years ago.
